The
emulator emulates a card and for it to function correctly with the current
freeware software from pgm available. You must have a iso7816 programmer,
H card, and a emulator which is pictured above at a cost of $25. You
can get the software free at various sites and IRC. For ordering info

IRC users were given a pleasant surprise last night when PGM
released a public version of his Seimen SLE44 emulator. The emulator
software allows a PC to emulate the main micro processor of the DSS
H card. This is good news for test card users as it will mean you no
longer have to worry about ECM loops. Your DSS card will not be exposed
to the actual datastream while being used in the emulator. The software
still requires you to have a working H card as it utilize the ASIC externally
for the decryption on the packets. The software will work on any virgin
or clean DSS H card, so you no longer have to send it out to a dealer
to prepare the card for you. The software will write some codes to
your H card to control the ASIC, but it can be fully reverse and clean
off so your card can be use afterwards for other testing experiment or
subscription
All you Americans can now enjoy the famous Emulator without
worrying about US custom seizing your cards or devices. Since the emulator
talks to the receiver at a higher speed than the DSS H card, it also
means you can now log the datastream accurately without modifying your
PC's serial port. Everybody can now enjoy the ECMs by seeing the actual
kill packets and not worry about getting looped :-) For the record, the
Emulator has been running publicly in Canada for over 6 months without
any ECM problems. NO, it does not emulate the new HU card, so don't ask.
You will need some hardware components to get the emulator
working
A PC with a 486/50mhz CPU or faster
2 fast serial ports
1 floppy drive or Hard drive. You only need hard drive if
you want the emulator the write datastream to log file.
1 MEG of RAM
F series emulator board
Standard ISO-7816 card programmer
1 Functional DSS receiver/dish
1 Clean or virgin DSS H card

If you have the hardware already, this FREEWARE version will
not cost you anything. You can do everything yourself without sending
card out. To talk to the experts on the emulator, log on to IRC #emulator
